Sending mail to Florida, Southern Georgia or parts of South Carolina? It may take some time.

 

Florida residents are not alone in dealing with the devastation left behind by Hurricane Irma, parts of Southern Georgia and South Carolina saw surges of damaging winds, rains and storm surges. Now that these areas are in "storm recovery phase," you may be wondering, "when will mail service return?"

According to the press release, all post offices, stations and branches have suspended retail and delivery operations for Georgia zip codes beginning with 304, 310, 312, 313, 314, 315, 316, 317, 318, 319, and 398.

Florida zip codes beginning with 320, 322, 323, 324, 325, 326, and 344 are also affected.

Delivery is suspended "until further notice," said the release. Additional information will provided as conditions improve.
